Structured Academic Growth
Teachers guide Pre-Scholars through focused instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, sight words, handwriting, math, and language development. Student progress is regularly observed and assessed, allowing teachers to differentiate instruction, provide one-on-one support, and help each child master key learning milestones.
Christian Values in Action
Age-appropriate Christian materials introduce Bible stories that help children begin building character, kindness, and Godly values. Teachers use daily conversations, classroom routines, and gentle guidance to help Pre-Scholars practice loving their friends, making thoughtful choices, and showing care for others. During center time, children explore books, toys, and hands-on materials independently, while families receive daily updates on meals, naps, potty breaks, classroom activities, and special moments.

The Pre-Scholars Program: A Blended Learning Approach to Preschool
Our private preschool program gives three-year-olds a strong foundation for the next stage of learning. Through teacher-led instruction, hands-on exploration, S.T.E.A.M. activities, early literacy, math, and faith-based character development, children build the confidence and skills they need for kindergarten and beyond.
Mastering Kindergarten Readiness Skills
Preschoolers begin building important school-readiness skills through structured routines, small-group instruction, classroom responsibilities, listening activities, and guided play. Teachers help children practice independence, following directions, communication, cooperation, and early academic habits in a warm, supportive environment.
S.T.E.A.M. Integration: Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts & Math
Beginning in preschool, children explore S.T.E.A.M. through age-appropriate projects that encourage curiosity and problem-solving. Students may build, test, create, observe, compare, and ask questions as they begin connecting science, technology, engineering, arts, and math to everyday discoveries.
Literacy & Phonics: Building Confident Early Readers
Early reading skills are introduced through phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, storytime, listening comprehension, letters, sounds, sight words, and language-rich classroom experiences. These activities help preschoolers strengthen communication and begin developing confidence as future readers.
Mathematical Foundations: Critical Thinking & Problem Solving
Math begins with hands-on practice. Children sort, match, count, compare, identify shapes, explore patterns, and begin simple problem-solving activities that strengthen reasoning, number sense, and confidence with early mathematical concepts.
Small Class Sizes & Superior Student-Teacher Ratios
In preschool, children need both structure and personal attention. Our 1:10 student-teacher ratio helps teachers guide early academics, observe progress, support social-emotional growth, and create a classroom where each child feels known, encouraged, and ready to learn.
Why Our 1:10 Ratio Outperforms State Requirements
A smaller preschool ratio gives teachers more time to support each child during lessons, transitions, center time, and daily routines. This allows for closer supervision, stronger relationships, and more responsive classroom guidance.
Personalized Instruction for Every Early Learner
Preschoolers grow at different paces, so our teachers use small-group instruction and one-on-one support to meet children where they are. This helps each child strengthen literacy, math, language, independence, and confidence.
One-on-One Assessment & Developmental Progress Tracking
In our Lake Nona preschool, teachers observe student learning, take notes, and regularly assess progress to understand each child’s development. These insights help guide instruction, identify areas for support, and celebrate growth along the way.
Engaging S.T.E.A.M. Lab & Creative Learning Centers
Our STEAM preschool curriculum gives children meaningful ways to explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and math through hands-on discovery. In a preschool with small class sizes, teachers can guide experiments, creative projects, and learning centers that support curiosity, confidence, and kindergarten readiness.
Hands-On Experiments in Our Modern Science Stations
Preschoolers learn by doing. Through simple experiments, observation, building, testing, and sensory exploration, children begin asking questions, making predictions, and discovering how the world works in age-appropriate ways.
Technology Integration: Introducing Digital Literacy Safely
Technology is introduced with purpose and supervision. Children use age-appropriate digital tools and interactive activities to support early math, phonics and literacy, hand-eye coordination, and classroom concepts in a safe, guided environment.
Creative Arts: Developing Expression Through Music & Design
Creative arts help preschoolers express ideas, build confidence, and strengthen fine motor skills. Through music, movement, art, color, texture, and design, children explore creativity while connecting learning to imagination.
The “Explorer” Philosophy: Encouraging Natural Curiosity
Preschoolers are natural explorers, and our teachers use that curiosity to deepen learning. Through questions, guided discovery, center play, and S.T.E.A.M. projects, children build problem-solving skills that support strong kindergarten readiness programs.
Character Education: Teaching Values Beyond the Classroom
At Bright Scholars, preschool is not only about academic growth. Children also learn how to care for others, make thoughtful choices, communicate respectfully, and build confidence through faith-based character lessons, teacher guidance, and daily classroom routines.
Integrating Kindness, Respect & Leadership Skills
Our teachers help preschoolers practice kindness, respect, responsibility, and early leadership through Bible stories, role play, classroom jobs, and guided conversations. These small daily moments help children learn how to treat others with care.
Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) for Collaborative Play
Preschoolers are learning how to share, listen, take turns, and solve problems with friends. Through Frog Street social-emotional learning strategies, children build self-regulation, cooperation, friendship skills, and confidence during group activities and play.

Bright Scholars supports the values families are building at home by creating a warm, faith-centered classroom culture. Children learn love, patience, honesty, and forgiveness while families stay connected through communication, updates, and meaningful relationships with our team.
