Preparing Scholars for Kindergarten & Beyond
Our Scholars Voluntary Pre-Kingarten (VPK) program helps children build the academic confidence, classroom skills, and independence needed for a smooth transition to grade school. With a focus on science, technology, mathematics, reading comprehension, and writing, students work toward clear achievement goals while teachers use bi-weekly assessments to provide support, challenge, and individualized guidance.
With two teachers, a 1:10 teacher-student ratio, and class sizes limited to 20 Scholars, children receive focused instruction in a clean, structured, and nurturing environment. Breakfast, lunch, and snack are provided daily.
Designed for Pre-K Learners
Classroom Environment
Our Scholars VPK classroom is designed to help children ages 4-5 become confident, independent learners as they prepare for kindergarten. The environment supports teacher-led instruction, small-group learning, hands-on activities, learning centers, and independent exploration, giving Scholars opportunities to practice early academic and classroom skills throughout the day.
Children also have space to collaborate, create, problem-solve, and build friendships while developing the routines and independence they’ll use in kindergarten. With a 1:10 teacher-student ratio and a maximum of 20 children, teachers can provide meaningful guidance and support as each Scholar prepares for their next step.
Kindergarten Readiness Through Purposeful Learning
Frog Street Pre-K Curriculum
Our Scholars use Frog Street Pre-K, a comprehensive curriculum designed to support literacy, math, social-emotional growth, and key developmental learning domains. Through nine thematic units, whole-group lessons, small-group instruction, daily learning centers, and hands-on activities, children build phonics, language development, number association, compound words, and reading comprehension.
Core Academic Growth
A Scholar’s day is filled with activities that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and exploration. Teachers focus on phonemic awareness, phonics instruction, sight words, handwriting, math, and language development, while bi-weekly assessments help track progress, differentiate instruction, and provide one-on-one support where needed.
Faith-Based Character Development
We introduce age-appropriate Christian materials and Bible stories that help children continue building kindness, character, and Godly values before kindergarten. During center time, Scholars explore books, toys, and learning materials independently, while families receive daily updates on meals, rest time, classroom activities, and special moments.
