Curriculum
Strong Foundations for Bright Futures
Purposeful instruction, hands-on exploration, S.T.E.A.M. projects, & immersive experiences help children build confidence, curiosity, & kindergarten-ready skills.
The Blended Learning Model
Our Blended Learning Model combines structured instruction, purposeful play, S.T.E.A.M. exploration, and immersive learning experiences to support how young children learn best. By bringing concepts to life through hands-on discovery and active participation, each day helps build early academic skills, encourages curiosity, strengthens confidence, and prepares Scholars for kindergarten and beyond.
Our Blended Learning Model in Action
Teacher-Led Instruction
Teachers guide students through intentional learning experiences in whole-group, small-group, and one-on-one settings. During Circle Time and focused instruction, children build skills in weather and calendar concepts, music and movement, story comprehension, phonics, early literacy, math, writing, and language development.
This structure allows teachers to introduce new concepts, reinforce skills, and support each child’s individual learning needs.
Independent Exploration
Children are given supervised opportunities to explore, create, and problem-solve through purposeful center rotations. These centers may include manipulative play, dramatic play, listening and reading, blocks, art, and teacher-guided activities.
Each area is thoughtfully equipped with age-appropriate materials that spark curiosity, encourage independence, and help children learn through hands-on discovery.
S.T.E.A.M. Implementation
Beginning in our Pre-Scholars program at age 3, children participate in weekly S.T.E.A.M. projects that integrate science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. These hands-on lessons help children ask questions, test ideas, and think critically.
For example, after reading The Three Little Pigs, students may work in small groups to build houses using different materials, then test their structures against the “Big Bad Wolf” using a hand-held dryer. It’s playful, memorable, and packed with real problem-solving.
Immersive Learning Experiences
Immersive learning experiences help children engage with classroom concepts through hands-on activities, active exploration, and meaningful discovery. Instead of simply hearing about a topic, Scholars are encouraged to interact with ideas, ask questions, make observations, and connect what they learn to real experiences.
These experiences make learning feel exciting, memorable, and purposeful. Through guided exploration, creative problem-solving, and age-appropriate activities, children build curiosity, confidence, critical thinking skills, and a deeper understanding of the world around them. If we’re exploring the ocean, don’t be surprised to find a boat right in our classrooms, bringing the lesson to life and deepening our Scholars’ understanding through immersive, hands-on learning.
Curriculum That
Builds Confidence
Our curriculum supports the way children naturally learn: through structure, repetition, exploration, connection, and hands-on discovery.
FrogStreet Curriculum
FrogStreet is a research-based curriculum aligned with the Florida Standards for Early Learning. Through monthly themes, small-group lessons, center rotations, and hands-on activities, children build skills in phonics, language development, math, literacy, shapes, colors, numbers, and reading comprehension.
Social & Emotional
Social-emotional learning helps children understand feelings, build friendships, and practice self-regulation. Through breathing techniques, classroom commitments, safety routines, Bible stories, puppet play, dramatic play, and positive redirection, children learn kindness, connection, and how to care for others.
S.T.E.A.M. for Preschool
Beginning at age 3, students participate in weekly S.T.E.A.M. projects that encourage curiosity, observation, and problem-solving. Children ask “what” questions, make predictions, test ideas, and explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math through hands-on activities designed for early learners.
